How we help on the day

Vehicles for the family and for guests

Most families book one vehicle for the immediate family, and sometimes a second for everyone else. Dispatch will help you decide when you call.

The immediate family

Lincoln Continental or Mercedes-Benz S 550

Up to 3 passengers

A quiet sedan for the closest family members, from home to the service and on to the cemetery or reception.

Family and pallbearers

Lincoln stretch limousine

Up to 10 passengers

The traditional family limousine, so relatives arrive together and nobody has to drive on a difficult day.

Extended family and guests

Executive Van or luxury SUV

6 to 14 passengers

One vehicle for grandparents, children and guests travelling between the funeral home, the service, the cemetery and the reception.

Relatives flying in

Sedan, SUV or Executive Van

1 to 14 passengers

Flight-tracked pickups at SeaTac or Paine Field for family arriving from out of town, and returns after the service.

The day itself

What your chauffeur does, from first pickup to home

Nothing on the day should need managing by the family. The chauffeur has the addresses, the times and the funeral director's instructions in advance.

  1. Before the service

  2. At the funeral home or church
Arrival and waitingThe vehicle is parked where the funeral director directs, and the chauffeur stays with it throughout the service.
  3. The procession
Following the director's instructionsYour chauffeur takes their place in the procession as the funeral director sets it, and keeps with the line to the cemetery.
  4. At the graveside
Waiting nearbyThe vehicle waits close by so the family can sit down or leave whenever they are ready.
  5. Afterwards
The reception, then homeOn to the reception or repast, then drop-offs at each address, within the hours booked.
Working with your funeral director

We coordinate directly, so you do not have to

Give dispatch the funeral home's name and number and we will confirm the details with them: arrival times, where vehicles should wait, and where our vehicles sit in the procession.

If arrangements change, which happens often in the days before a service, the funeral director or the family contact can call 425-903-8282 and dispatch will adjust the booking.

What to tell us when you call

  • Where the family should be collected, and at what time
  • Whether there is a procession, and the cemetery address
  • The reception or repast address, if there is one
  • How many passengers, and any mobility or accessibility needs
  • A family contact for the day who is not the closest bereaved
  • Your funeral director's name and number, if they are coordinating

FAQ

Questions families ask

How much does funeral transportation cost?

A luxury sedan starts from $90 per hour and can also be priced by mileage for a single journey. The Lincoln Continental starts from $100 per hour, a luxury SUV from $150 per hour and the 14-passenger Executive Van from $175 per hour. A Lincoln stretch limousine starts from $150 per hour with a 4 to 6 hour minimum. You receive a written quote before anything is confirmed.

Can you arrange transportation at short notice?

Often, yes. Dispatch answers 425-903-8282 24 hours a day and will tell you straight away what is available for the date and time you need.

Do you provide a hearse or carry the casket?

No. We provide passenger vehicles for the family and guests. Your funeral director arranges the hearse and anything to do with the casket.

Will you coordinate with our funeral director?

Yes. Give us the funeral home's name and number and dispatch will confirm timings, where to park and the order of the procession directly with them.

Can the chauffeur drive in the procession?

Yes. Your chauffeur follows the funeral director's instructions for the procession and stays with the line to the cemetery.

How many vehicles will we need?

Most families book one vehicle for the immediate family and, if needed, a second for extended family and guests. The Executive Van seats 14, which often covers both. Dispatch can help you decide when you call.

Can you collect relatives from the airport?

Yes. Airport pickups at SeaTac and Paine Field are flight-tracked, so a delayed flight moves the pickup time with it.
